Looking for a stylish country festival? The MCF has it all for you! Annually in October a pulsating and jolly Food & Witblits festival, sponsored by Pioneer, is held.

The festival boasts a unique and full programme, with the smart and stylish Miss Pioneer Maize Capital competition constituting the highlight. Visitors are treated with a fine wine and witblits tasting, connoisseur dishes from Food with Flair and have the chance to meet the Maize Capital’s own Mealie King, King Ben Mielie I, who reigns with dignity and a twinkle in his eye over the festivities.

The Saturday programme offers the popular and outstanding Tasting Hall where the most fine maize and braai dishes, witblits and excellent wines could be tasted against the backdrop of soul-enriching music performed by professional performers and artists.

A boisterous beer garden; a variety of sport activities; different competitions like the popular maize kernel distance spitting competition; musical performances by bands, song groups and artists; kiddies jungle; country food; flea market stalls; Maize Meander trips and of course the elegant and stylish Maize Capital Fashion Parade, all form part of an unforgettable experience.
